Pet Toys - What are the best ones?

Pet Toys - What are the best ones?

Every pet needs a toy. Put aside time and play with your pet each day. Just like children, toys help a pet’s mind grow. Experiment with toys while they are young. See what they like. Here are more reasons why toys are great for pets.

Toys Provide Mental Stimulation

To help pets grow, toys mentally and physically assist with emotional and physical needs. Sitting around bored waiting for their owners to arrive home is not good for them. If you don’t want your couch to have an unnecessary makeover, better get them a toy. They need a toy to keep them occupied. And they need something to help satisfy their chewing needs.

Toys Teach Your Dogs to Relax

All pets get excited. But they should not be excited all the time. Certain toys like chew products help your dog relax. Instead, your pet focuses on chewing. Give them a toy to play with when the neighbors come over so they are not distracting.

Toys Keep Pets Active

Watch your pet the next time they play with a toy. Notice how they run around? Your pet is getting exercise. Toys keep pets active.

Engage With Them

Toys keep dogs engaged. Dogs quickly become uninterested if toys don’t squeak or if it has a material that they are not fond of. Pet owners, you need to engage with your dogs. Yes, toys are the ultimate building blocks, but your pet cannot play with a toy all the time.

What are the Best Dog Toys?

  • Rope Toys: Because it is a part of their nature, dogs need to bite objects. And not your hands. Rope toys allow pets who are teething a natural way of playing
  • Stuffed Toys: With material so soft, stuffed toys safely protect pets mouths
  • Chew Toys: Teething years are terrible. Chew toys are great for pets because they allow your pet chewing opportunity. Chew toys come in all sizes, durability, and shapes.

Pet Toys to Avoid

  • Bones: Believe it or not, one of the most popular pet toys is considered a danger. Bones are not great pet toys because they are a choking hazard.
  • Nylon Chew Toys: Nylon toys are not suitable for pets’ mouths. Pets easily rip them apart. Nylon toys are also toxic.
  • Sticks: Don’t let a puppy chew on a stick. Sticks are sharp. They’ll easily puncture a pet’s mouth.
